On June 1st, our sliding scale increased to $30-$50. The cancellation fee for no shows and last minute cancellations (due to non-emergency/non-illness reasons) is $30. The additional one-time fee for new patients is $20, making an initial visit $50-$70.
COVID-19 and social distancing measures have impacted our practice and introduced a significant financial burden, which has lead to this price increase. Our biggest challenges include:
5 chairs in the treatment room (we previously had 8)
4 appointments per hour (previously 6), with no walk-ins
Loss of our volunteers - our office managers are covering the increased responsibilities of reception
Shortened hours to accommodate available staff and additional time each shift for sanitizing and laundry
Increased cost of supplies for acupuncture, PPE and sanitizing products
The new sliding scale will allow us to operate sustainably and continue to serve you. We sincerely hope you and your families will continue to be able to receive care with us. Due to recent donations, we have a limited scholarship fund to supplement treatment costs for those in need. This allows us to offer $10, once a week for patients who can only pay $20 for treatments. As always, our sliding scale is the same for acupuncture treatments, nutritional and herbal consultations. We hope our sliding scale will keep acupuncture accessible and affordable. We do not require income verification. Please pay what works for you. We want you to be able to come in often enough to get well and stay well.
