Our Team
Hannah Beachy, L.Ac.
Hannah discovered her love of Eastern medicine during Shiatsu training, in 2000. She has always been passionate about creating community, and was excited to discover the community acupuncture model. She opened the clinic in 2011. Then in 2018, as the clinic transitioned to non-profit, she became the executive director. Hannah calls the west side of Colorado Springs home, where she enjoys gardening, keeping chickens and exploring the local trails.
Hannah completed her Master of Science in Oriental Medicine (MSOM) at the Southwest Acupuncture College, Boulder, in 2010. She holds a B.A. in Spanish from Fort Lewis College, and enjoys conversing with our Spanish-speaking patients. Hannah is certified in Oriental Medicine by the National Certification Committee of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She is a Licensed Acupuncturist in the State of Colorado, and a member of the People's Organization of Community Acupuncture (POCA). Kyndl Mueller, L.Ac.
Kyndl earned her Master of Science in Oriental Medicine (MSOM) in 2015, while living in Capitol Hill from the School of Traditional Chinese Medicine (CSTCM) in Denver. Before that she was busy immersing herself in the natural environment of the mountains in Steamboat where she spent her undergraduate years studying philosophy and skiing. In the spring of 2017 she went to Nepal to work with the Acupuncture Relief Project to provide healthcare to the rural villages outside of Kathmandu. That experience galvanized her passion for treating the community with Chinese medicine. She brought this passion back to her roots in Colorado Springs, where she grew up, and found her place in community acupuncture and SCA.
Kyndl is certified in Oriental medicine by the National Certification Committee of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and is a licensed acupuncturist in the state of Colorado. Kyndl can be reached at kyndl@springscommunityacupuncture.com |

Our Board of Directors
Hannah Beachy, President. Hannah is the founder of SCA and an acupuncturist here at the clinic. See her bio above.
Amelia (Molly) Fread, Vice President. Molly Fread practiced Community Acupuncture from 2010 through 2020. In that time, she gave over 35,000 treatments to her community, first in New Mexico, here at SCA in 2012, then in 3 different locations in Northern California. Molly currently works for Sutter Health as an acupuncturist for the Institute for Health and Healing, in Sacramento. There she is part of a team of integrative health practitioners that strives to offer comprehensive, holistic care for their community. The Institute for Health & Healing is a well known and highly regarded integrative program that serves patients throughout the Central Valley in Northern California, and Molly is thrilled to be part of their team. Outside of work, Molly enjoys spending time at home and in nature with her sweet partner and their two funny dogs.
Vanessa Little, Secretary. Vanessa is a Colorado Springs native, who enjoys the arts, music, dance and teaching. She teaches piano lessons, performs at local events like open mic nites and poetry slams. In addition to activity in the arts, Vanessa is passionate about education, youth outreach, and self-care/alternative medicine. She works with AAYLC (the African American Youth Leadership Conference), Hear Hear Poetry, and Poetry719. Vanessa owns two businesses, Miss Vanessa’s Piano Studio and Lil’ Miss Story Hour, a literacy themed entertainment service for children’s birthday parties. Vanessa discovered community acupuncture many years ago, while recovering from a debilitating rock climbing accident. She is very passionate about advocating for individuals like herself who do not “look the stereotypical part” of a disabled individual. She hopes to bring more awareness to disabilities, specifically, the invisible ones.
Elaine Horton, Treasurer. Elaine has a degree in Health Care Administration, and previously worked at the Univ of Rochester Medical Center, the Heartwork Institute, BCM Services, and was co-owner of Planning Matrix, Inc. Well-known to many of our patients as our previous office manager, Elaine understands the workings of the clinic inside and out. She currently travels between her home in Manitou Springs and the East Coast of Long Island, where she assists her parents in transitioning through aging. In both locations she enjoys gardening, walking trails or beaches, experimenting in the kitchen creating new recipes for healthy living, and using her accrued airline miles for long weekend getaways with her husband.
