Illness Policy and Screening: Stay Home if You Are Sick
When you arrive at the clinic we will take your temperature and ask you screening questions about potential symptoms and exposure to COVID-19. If you have had symptoms in the past 48 hours or exposure to COVID-19, it is not appropriate for you to receive acupuncture and you will be turned away.
Symptoms of illness include fever (of 99.5 degrees or higher), cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, diarrhea, headache, body aches and loss of taste or smell.
If someone in your household has a suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19 please do not come in, until you have quarantined for 14 days or you have received a negative test result. Please note that the county health department has specific criteria for who is considered a contact. If you have any questions or concerns about possible exposure to COVID-19 please give us a call and we can help you figure out if it is safe for you to come in or not.
Recent onset of symptoms? Please call to cancel your appointment, we'll waive the cancellation fee.
Our staff is taking precautions, self-monitoring for symptoms and screening by taking their temperatures when they arrive.
Social Distancing
To control traffic flow, we can only accept patients with an appointment, no walk-ins. You're always welcome to call and check on availability for same-day appointments.
Our treatment room has 5 chairs, spaced over 6 feet apart, which allows us to treat 4 patients per hour. Treatments last about 40-45 minutes, to allow time for sanitizing between patients.
Patients should arrive 5-10 minutes before their appointment time and wait in their cars until we text them to come in. Waiting room reading materials and tea are no longer available.
Consultations are offered by phone. Herbs and supplements are available for curbside pick-up.
Sanitation: Cleaning and PPE Practices
All patients and staff must wear masks in the clinic. Masks must cover your mouth and nose throughout your time here. Please bring a mask that fits you well. New cloth and disposable masks are provided or bring your own.
Patients wash hands and put on a mask when they enter the building.
Linens (sheets, blankets, etc.) are laundered after each patient.
Hard surfaces are sanitized between patients (door knobs, recliner handles, bins for belongings, etc.)
