                                  COVID-19

Policies, procedures and safety measures

Illness Policy and Screening: Stay Home if You Are Sick
  • When you arrive at the clinic we will ask you screening questions about potential symptoms and exposure to COVID-19. If you have had symptoms in the past 48 hours or a recent known exposure to COVID-19, it is not appropriate for you to receive acupuncture and you will be turned away. We ask that everyone follow our illness policy, regardless of vaccination status.
  • Symptoms of illness that we screen for include fever (of 99.5 degrees or higher), cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, diarrhea, headache, body aches and loss of taste or smell.
  • If someone in your household has a suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19 please do not come in, until you have quarantined for 10 days or you have received a negative test result. Please note that the county health department has specific criteria for who is considered a contact. If you have any questions or concerns about possible exposure to COVID-19 please give us a call and we can help you figure out when it is safe for you to come in.
  • Recent onset of symptoms? Please call to cancel your appointment, we'll waive the cancellation fee.
Social Distancing
  • To control traffic flow, we can only accept patients with an appointment, no walk-ins. You're always welcome to call and check on availability for same-day appointments.
  • Our treatment room has 5 chairs, spaced over 6 feet apart, which allows us to treat 4 patients per hour. Treatments typically last about an hour from start to finish, allowing patients to rest 40-45 minutes with the needles in.
  • Patients should arrive 10 minutes before their appointment time and wait in their cars until we text them to come in.
  • Consultations are offered by phone. Herbs and supplements are available for curbside pick-up.
Sanitation: Cleaning and PPE Practices
  • Face masks are mandatory in our clinic. Your mask must cover your mouth and nose and stay in place during your treatment, so please bring a mask that fits you well. We have complimentary surgical masks, as well as cloth masks for sale or you can bring your own. Sorry, face shields are not an acceptable alternative to masks.
  • We ask patients to wash their hands or use hand sanitizer when they enter the building.
  • Linens (sheets, blankets, etc.) are laundered after each patient.
  • Air purifiers with HEPA filters are run throughout the clinic during business hours.
Private Treatments
  • We now offer private table treatments on Sundays and every other Tuesday. These appointments are available online, on a $60-$90 sliding scale. We can accommodate up to two people for table treatments at a time. Please give us a call if you would like to book a table treatment session for two people, on a sliding scale of $50-$70 each.
  • Arrangements can be made for private chair or table treatments outside of our regular business hours. Prices vary depending on the number of patients coming in together. Please give us a call for details.
